I’m a girl who loves a good bargain. If there’s a way for me to get a new stylish treasure at a good price, I’m here for it. But when it comes to department store sales, I’ve often found myself avoiding them in the past. Maybe it’s due to my lack of funds at the time, or even more so my lack of initial interest, but I never seem to find things I’d ever want to actually own. That is until I became a big ol’ Nordstrom nerd. For Nordstrom seems to be the only department store that really speaks to both my taste, my budget, and caters to my size (*cough cough* Macy’s and others, take note.)
So I thought I’d take on a new mission – to find the cutest things from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale that I legitimately want to own. And though there are quite a few more items than what is shown in the graphic below (including an extensive amount of Beauty products) here are my personal sparkly picks that I could see from the sale preview that Nordstrom had to offer.
Items featured: Madewell Tote Bag (Link), Rachel Parcell Dress (Link), Chelsea28 Sweater (Link),
Adina’s Jewels Earrings (Link), Kate Spade Necklace (Link), Joe Malone Perfume Set (Link), NIKE Sneakers (Link)
Let’s discuss the finds! First off, I love finding the perfect casual (yet adorable) tote bag, and this Madewell produced one totally fits the criteria. It has a longer strap, an aesthetic rainbow design, and (the best part) looks big enough to carry all of my oddities. It’s functional, feminine, yet professional and (most importantly) fun! Next up is the Rachel Parcell dress. Spoiler Alert: I’m a sucker for any sort of smock piece. They’re incredibly comfortable, easy to dress up or down, and are the closest thing to rocking a nightgown in public. Plus, with the stretchy elements at the bust, it really extends the comfort factor, big time. I also picked this off the shoulder Chlesea28 sweater for the same reason. It’s casual, comfortable, and fashionable all at once. Plus, there’s something about living that Flash Dance fantasy that always quenches my stylish thirsts.
Then let’s talk accessories and other non-clothing elements. I’ve recently become a fan of simplistic, classic gold jewelry. These items add a delicate touch to an outfit without being too overwhelming to whatever you’re wearing – a description that fits both the Kate Spade necklace and Adina’s Jewels earrings. Something I do like to be a bit more “loud” with are my fragrances, and having become a recent Jo Malone stan, this set totally peaked my interest (especially since there are so many more scents I want to try from their line up.) And finally we have these ultra cute NIKE sneakers. I’ll be honest in that, for the longest time, NIKE’s never interested me. But there’s something about the coral color scheme of these that have caught my eye. Call me basic, but I just can’t stop looking at them.
Like I said, there is a lot more to check out when it comes to the sale. Will you be shopping it? If you have a Nordstrom credit card, you can access the sale on August 3rd. If not, it’ll go live on August 13th! I’m going to be one of those lame individuals and just see what I can snag on the 13th, but here’s hoping I can get one of these pretty things when that date pops up on the calendar. Until then, Happy Shopping!
