Hey, it’s been a while! With it being midway through February of 2022, I thought I would give a silly update on my life (and my other interesting tidbits along the way~)
With 2022 rolling on by, and my birthday having past, it seemed about time to come on here and write a little bit of a life update. There’s been a lot of good and equally as much complicated stuff. Yet overall I’m excited about the adventures ahead and the goals I have for the remainder of this oddest of years.
First off – I’m 32!
It is indeed true that I made another trip around the sun. And after many years of putting off the celebration of me turning the big 3-0 in Disney World, I finally made my grand return to the Most Magical Place on Earth for its 50th anniversary. The parks were wonderful (though much different from my last visit in 2019), the vibes were still everything I wanted, the outfits I planned turned out fantastic (despite the weather trying to change my wardrobe.) Yet the best part was getting time with my Mom, who has had a challenging few years since her last visit to WDW. She’s truly my guiding light in many ways and getting to see her thriving from the moment we got off the plane to the moment we left was pure joy.
But the big question, when will I return to Walt Disney World? Well, only time will tell. I was hoping that this year was gonna be the accomplishment of me finally becoming an annual passholder. But since Disney has paused sales on said tickets, I’m gonna have to put that dream on hold. Until then, I have plans to attempt to see Fantastmic! (my favorite park show) on its grand re-opening (whenever that is.) Otherwise my next Disney adventure isn’t until September, when I’ll be going to Anaheim to attend D23 Expo 2022 by myself. It’ll be quite the trip and I can’t wait for it!
Making Some Big Changes
2021 was a year of processing. Between various things going on in my career, my health, my family, etc. it was all about figuring out the next steps to making my dreams come true. And now that I’ve gotten a lot more things checked off the list (or are on my way to doing so) it’s feeling more and more like I’m becoming the person I always wanted to be. One of those goals has been to change up my hair. I’m starting to get strands of silver hair and it felt like the right time to finally put down the coin and change up my locks. So be on the look out on March 13th for a new aesthetic presentation, via my hair. It’s gonna be different but still uniquely me. And I can’t wait to see the results! PS: obviously the photo is a clue.
Speaking of Goals….
While I personally don’t believe in New Years Resolutions, I prefer to use the term “consistents” or “goals.” Because rather than putting some magical pressure on myself to achieve something that maybe the universe isn’t quite ready for me to, I’d rather try to focus on the things I can attempt to control and handle. So without further ado, here are said goals. We’ll check back in December to see how this goes:
- To be as authentically me as possible, even if it makes people uncomfortable
- Be as happy in my body as I can be
- To see way more movies in theaters (and in general) than I did last year
- To be as fashionable 24/7 as I can (while also being comfortable)
- Find less fried things to eat that also don’t make me have an IBS flare up
- Get more ear piercings
- Go on more adventures
- Not to minimize myself for anyone
- Make my career goals come true
That’s it for now, but who knows what I’ll add and subtract as I go. Regardless, 2022 is feeling already like a more promising year and I’m hopeful it keeps going in the right direction.
I’ve also been incredibly busy writing for SlashFilm over the last few months. If you want to take a look, I definitely encourage you to check out my work here. I’ve been making content about lots of movies and TV, and all the fun pop culture stuff in between.
And that’s it for now ~ Hope you’re all doing well and hope to have more content up here in the near future!
Until then ~ stay magical
